River Paddling Trips

Paddle!"
Canoeing and Kayaking on the Delaware River are popular and
enjoyable activities.
Dingmans Campground operates a convenient Canoe and Kayak livery
service, offering river trips through the Spring, Summer and Fall.
Our river trips are open to the public as well as our campers, with
free parking provided.
Several river trips are offered daily.

We will transport your canoe or kayak.
Groups are welcome!
Our Milford to Dingmans Campground paddling trip (8 miles in
3 to 4 hours) is ideal for the first time paddler, with calm water
most of the trip and four small rapids.
There are two islands along the way for picnicking.
For a more challenging all-day paddling adventure, our
Matamoras to Dingmans Campground trip (17 miles in 8 to 9 hours)
offers more rapids and more excitement!
Daily Trips: (Trips depart the campground store)
** River trip customers MUST check in at
the campground office no later than 15 minutes before departure time
to fill out required paperwork. Van drivers will NOT wait for
late arrivals!

9:00am - Milford Beach (8 miles in 3-4 hours. Guide service available.)
10:00am - Milford Beach (8 miles in 3-4 hours)
11:00am - Milford Beach (8 miles in 3-4 hours)
11:30am - Milford Beach (8 miles in 3-4 hours)
12:00pm - Milford Beach (8 miles in 3-4 hours)
12:30pm - Milford Beach (8 miles in 3-4 hours)
1:00pm - Milford Beach (8 miles in 3-4 hours)
River Paddling Trip Rates:
Adult Canoe or Kayak (12 or older) -
$38.00/person
Child Canoe or Kayak (5-11) -
$28.00/person → The above rates include boat, paddle, PFD, parking,
orientation and transportation up river.
Customer Canoe or Kayak
Transport
- $18.00/person → We will transport your Canoe or Kayak on our trailer, and
transport you and your gear up river in
our van.
Guided Delaware River Paddling Trips
are available for the 9:00am trip only
for an additional $100.00 charge. → If you have never paddled before, our river guides can help
make your first paddling adventure an
exciting, educational and safe
experience.
Our guides are certified in water
rescue and first aid, have extensive
knowledge of the Delaware River,
paddling instruction, wildlife and local
history.
Requirements:
All participants must know how to swim.
All participants must wear a PFD at all times on the river.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the river.
All boats must return to the campground river access by 5:00PM.
Canoeing Season April 1 - October 31 (season may be extended weather
permitting).
Overnight Delaware River Paddling Trips:
One Overnight on the Delaware River and 2 days of paddling
17 miles on the Delaware River in 2 days.
With the scheduled 8:00 AM Matamoras trip ending at Dingmans Campground.
Day 1: Matamoras to NPS Campsites 1-23 (8-12 miles).
Day 2: NPS Campsites 1-23 to Dingmans Campground (5-9 miles).
$76 Per Adult / $56 Per Child.
Two Overnights on the Delaware River and 3 days of paddling
27 miles on the Delaware River in 3 days.
Rendezvous at Kittatinny Point between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Day 1.
Day 1: Dingmans Campground to NPS Campsites 37-54 (7-8 miles).
Day 2: NPS Campsites 37-54 to NPS Campsites 106-108 (13-14 miles).
Day 3: NPS Campsites 106-108 to Kittatinny Point (7-8 miles).
$114 Per Adult / $84 Per Child.
Notes for Overnight River Trips:
All overnight paddling trips on the Delaware River require that Dingmans
Campground customers camp only at designated National Park Service campsites
within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. These campsites are
only available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Dingmans Campground is not
responsible for campsite vacancies on overnight paddling trips, any of the
customer’s camping equipment or activities, security of customer’s vehicles,
any violations of NPS policies, camping on private property or consequences
resulting from the customer’s inappropriate actions.
