2010 Reservations, Cancellation & Payment Policies

1) Reservations:

• Reservations are not required, but are recommended if you want a guaranteed campsite or activity.
• Walk-In customers are welcomed, subject to vacancy and availability.
• Reservations will be accepted for Camping, Canoeing and the AT Shuttle.
• Reservations can be made BY PHONE or IN PERSON in the campground office.
• No reservations will be accepted by Mail, Voice Mail or E-Mail.
• Camping reservations require a two night minimum for Weekends.
• Camping reservations require a three night minimum for Holiday Weekends.
• Reservations will be accepted for the current calendar year and the following calendar year only.
• Full credit card payment will be required to secure all reservations.
• If the credit card payment is rejected, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.

2) Cancellations:

• Cancellation of reservations up to 10 Calendar Days prior to the scheduled arrival date will result in a full refund.
• Cancellations must be made BY PHONE or IN PERSON in the campground office.
• No cancellations will be accepted by Mail, Voice Mail or E-Mail.
• Must confirm the credit card number used to make the reservation.

 3) Refunds:

• NO REFUNDS FOR BAD WEATHER!!  All fees for camping and activities are charged rain or shine.
• No refunds will be granted for environmental conditions that are not under the control of campground management.  This includes excessive heat or cold, high winds, nuisance insects (mosquitoes, gnats, flies, bees), nuisance wild life (raccoons, skunks, opossums, bats, bears) and allergenic plants (poison ivy, oak or sumac).
• Activity charges may be refunded for NPS closures or restrictions on activity-related area.
• Activity charges will not be refunded for rain, unless rain prohibits the activity.

4) Payments:

• Credit card payment is preferred.
• Cash for reservations will only be accepted in the campground office IN PERSON with payment in full.
• No personal checks will be accepted for any goods or services. Corporate or organization checks may be accepted for large group activities, and the reservation will be guaranteed only after the check clears the bank. Special arrangements will be made for large groups.

5) Registration Requirements:

• All campers must register in person between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM in campground office on the date of arrival.
• On Friday evenings, check-in will be extended to 11:00 PM.
• All campers must check-out in person before 12:00 Noon in the campground office on the date of departure.
• All campers and visitors must provide required information at registration or when reservations are made. This information includes name, address, phone number, age, vehicle plate number and emergency contacts.

6) Early Arrivals & Late Stays:

• Late stays are charged half the nightly site fee between 12:00 Noon and 6:00 PM on the date of departure.
• Late stays are charged a full nightly site fee after 6:00 PM on the date of departure.
• Early arrivals will be charged half a nightly site fee before 2:00 PM on the day of arrival provided the reserved campsite is vacant at the time of arrival.
