McDade Recreation Trail

The Joseph M. McDade Recreational Trail is a packed-gravel multi-use trail which, when completed, will extend for 37 miles on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The completed McDade Trail will follow the banks of the Delaware River in Pennsylvania from Milford to Delaware Water Gap (north to south). The McDade Trail will connect with Dingmans Campground, passing right in front of our beautiful campground store.

Recreational opportunities on the McDade Trail will span all seasons, with hiking, biking and bird watching opportunities through spring, summer and fall, and cross country skiing and snow shoeing in the winter months. In addition, the trail will pass over several creeks with spectacular waterfall attractions within hiking distance of the trail to the west. Dingmans Campground is situated in an ideal location for visitor enjoyment of the McDade Recreational Trail, with the Milford Beach Access 9 miles to the north and the Bushkill Access 12 miles to the south.
